Your tough exterior is a test to all who dare take it. You don't give your heart to just anyone out of the gate; they have to earn it. There's probably a cynical lawyer trapped inside you. Once someone does get through your thick shell, they find the inner you: a wonderful, caring, practical friend. You tell all who are close to you exactly how it is, and those who don't appreciate it aren't worth your time anyway.
